About Us

Ndole Bay Lodge is an adventure safari lodge located on the shores of Lake Tanganyika in Northern Zambia, Africa. Well off the beaten track, its an adventure and secret paradise for holiday makers of all types.

Located on the south west corner of the lake in Cameron Bay, Ndole Bay Lodge is situated on a private sandy beach which is rimmed with rock reefs perfect for snorkelling and exploring the world of Tanganyika’s cichlids.

The 8 Standard Ensuite rooms have enclosed bathrooms and can fit up to 4 people depending on the room. They are comfortable and clean and fitted with fans.

Then for those on a budget we have 2 Non- Ensuite rooms which have shared bathroom facilites between them as well as our beach campsite with limited spots.

Our team of friendly local staff strive to meet the needs and wants of every client to make your stay unforgettable.

Our Lakeside deck is by far the most popular spot in the lodge. With a Thai daybed, Hammocks and Sun beds, its great for sunbaking and relaxing and to read that book you have never had the time to get to.

Its also the place for our PADI SCUBA dive training , where you can try our Discover Scuba Experience for which you need no experience and feel what its like to breathe underwater. We also offer Advanced dives for those with their licences and courses for those who want to take their training to the next level.

We offer: PADI Open Water course (5 days for beginners), Advanced Course (3 days) and Rescue Diver (5 days min). These are all done by Craig, who has thousands of dives under his belt to make him a very experienced instructor.

Also in front of the deck is where we have our watersports. We offer Tubing, Skiing and Wakeboarding for those with an need for speed and adrenalin.


Ndole Bay Lodge has a variety of boats for hire so there is a boat for every budget. We have our Twin Engine Speedboat, Frontosa which can fit up to 10 for day trips. Moori Sima, a twin engine that can fit up to 5 and Ferox that can fit between 3 and 4. There is also our budget Banana boat which can fit up to 6 and our Large wooden Dhow, Nyumfi which is great for sunset or day cruises and can fit up to 20.

Still the most popular activity is our Fishing Trips. Half day or Full day can be arranged and anglers are likey to catch a wide variety of fish such as The Nile Perch (up to 50kgs), The Yellowbelly/ Nkupi (up to 3kgs) and the smallers varieties such as Zebra Fish and Kiss Fish. Lake Tanganyika fish is arguably the best eating fish in the world and bay far the most requested specialty of our restaurant.

Other activities include walks in Nsumbu National Park to the isolated rainforest and to our hidden waterfall (season dependant).

The lodge Restaurant and Bar is the meeting place for all to come and swap stories of the day. Our bar is well stocked with ice cold beer, cider and other refreshments and there is a cocktail list for those who like to mix it up. The Restaurant offers set menu breakfast, lunch and 3 sumptuous course dinners, catering to vegetarians and meat lovers alike. Our most popular dinner is still our Starter of Homemade Ravioli, Main of Beer Battered and grilled salsa topped Fish, Chips and Green Salad and Dessert of Chocolate cake.
